Cry-Baby

I have a new favourite film!!! (and director)

I only got Cry-Baby on monday and i watched it three times in a row and am trying not to watch it again because i dont want to spoil that new film feeling! these are a couple of reasons why I love the film:

1. its set in the fifties! Everyone loves the fifties!
2. seriously amazing music
3 "you got it alisson, you got it RAWWW!" (if anybody said this to me i would spontaniously combust with pleasure perhaps - why cant i be RAWWW?)
4. Iggy Pop!!!
5. Johnny Depp looking like this:

6. 'tis a John Waters film and he is seriously becoming my favourite director
7. fifties singing and dancing and extra slimy kissing with tongues!

So theres no reason for people to not see it!
Next time you see me I intend to look like this:

...think I might watch it now...

Snow and crap

Things have gone a bit shit really, but its nobodys fault so ive got to live with things.

on the plus side I managed to get the snow twice  - deep deep snow in london and in my hometown too when i went home at the weekend.

My boyfriend came down to see me and we made these:

snow snail and freaky ass monkey penguin

In London there was the most snow in 18 years or something and on tuesday we found lots of these had popped up around london:

The Xmas...

A bit late but ahh well...better late than never...

Santa was good to me this year! I got a sewing machine which unfortunatly had to be left back down in London as it was way too heavy to carry back home :( So i havnt been able to play with it yet!

Here is me and Remy!

Me and the bare (ish) tree (we thought we'd lost most of our tree decorations but then found them again after xmas!)
Me and my bf went to see the Spirit a few days ago and i've now decided that my next pair of glasses are going to look like these: Love them!!

2009

I did it again! Managed to not blog for almost a month - again! Perhaps blogging more often should be a new years resolution...
Anyway - here are some photos promised a while ago from the Christmas Market at Somerset House:

That was really good fun at an amazing venue, helping out with Lady luck and a little with Kandy Diamond, there are more photos on lady luck's blog and flickr.
Heres one from the Christmas Grind a Go- Go with some friends:

Amazing music at an amazing venue! went to tinseltown in Farringdon afterwards, this 24 hour american style diner - it may just be me coming from a small town in the midlands but I never expected to have to que up to get into a restaurant at three in the morning! Mmm had kinder bueno milkshake!

Anyway, back to work! I've been sooo lazy i've just been watching tv and vegetating in christmas spirit...

RIP Bettie Page

Sadness :(

Thank you for being an inspiration to me and thousands of others...

XMASXMASXMAS!!

Its almost xmaasss!!  Ive just broken up for my holidays, ive made and wrapped all my xmas presents, my room is covered in glitter (probably for the next 6 months) from my MERRY XMAS glitter sign from the 99p shop in elephant and castle, and im going home on sunday!

I thought it would be really funny to get really tacky wrapping paper for some reason (it made sense at the time) but im just thinking that people might not get the joke and think its really crap! ahh well, its all part of xmas! the wrapping paper, the tinsel and the irritating music - so it all makes me happy!

Im also making my costume for the xmas grind a go go from Oh my god i miss you in bethnal green tomorrow! im going as an xmas pud, which basically consists of my black catsuit, white booties (plate?) a holly headband i made and a cream cape! im also considering cutting out droplets of cream to stick on my torso - it shall be amazing :P i just need to go to berwick street today to go buy some cheapo fabric to cut up.  - I also told Leona (aka miss lady luck) about it and she wants me to dress as a pud to the design grotto at somerset house that im working at!

I helped out at her swap party last night with my friend Lotte being the drinks woman, and lotte being the food woman. People were not exactly polite when grabbing dresses off the rails and I got a bit annoyed at this woman who laughed and said "oh I find it funny the way youre dressed, are you all dressed up for the event?" and i was like "erm..no! i dress like this normally and ive been wearing it all day!"  - how rude! It might have been the holly headdress that was too much for her, but I actually had been wearing it all day.
Overall though I had a really fun time as everyone who works there is really lovely and the gingerbread men were decorated so nicely! (most people there were not like that woman thankfully) I also managed to get some purple ear muffs and a balloon necklace in the swaps and Lotte got a lovely skirt!

I will try and get photographs of the event when they're on Lady luck!

over and out

aww crap i'm really bad at updating...oopsy!

well i've henna-d my hair on a whim! I bought the Caca Noir lush brand henna which is fun because you have to grate it and then mix it and then put loooads on and keep it on for several hours and then wash off for a veeryyy long time and it turned the
shower green and my body grey...okay perhaps not sooo much fun but it looks nice now! and the grey came off (onto my pijamas when i was sleeping >_<)

unfortunatly not many people have noticed though even though its considerably darker than it was before :S only when I mention it they go "ohhhh! i seeeee!", but ahh well I like it!

I went to the urban outfitters in convent garden event night with free alchy and lady luck discounds and temporary tattoos and benefit discounts, which was nice! and later on we went to the discounts night on on Carnaby Street - that was insaaane...too many people.

Diddn't actually buy anything except for some stuffing and a pedal bin from artbox for my bathroom - strange, I have money but not urge to spend on things I dont need...is this maturity?!

Southwark is pretty close to everywhere - I walked to Covent Garden in twenty Minutes, which is almost the same time as on a tube (there are many changes) so I think I shall start walking more - everything is closer together than it seems! One of my favourite things to do is just walk around London, theres always something new!
